Writing for Harrods – cooperatively with marketing, I defined and established the values of Harrods’ historic identity, and the unique personality of each brand partner. I produced copy for site BAU, exciting campaigns, social media, and wider ad hoc copy for their total restaurants portfolio. Below is a selection of work I contributed over my tenure there.
Eating at Harrods – from the famous fresh Food Halls to the iconic Harrods Dining Hall. A British Institution that demands the vital requisites of writing within the luxury hospitality industry. As a food writer, I have a keen sense of consumer behaviour and am very knowledgeable of the London dining space – much of my research takes place in my personal time. I do take it seriously.

Every season is pasta season, but nothing says Autumn like fresh handmade pappardelle with rich beef ragu, a bottle of Piedmont’s finest Barolo, and wedge of aromatic rosemary focaccia to soak up the last of the sauce as the Italian’s do. Comforting dishes with quality ingredients and the unforgettable flair of a Chef Giancarlo Perbellini-lead kitchen.

Cold brings the fire
From Kinoya’s miso butter eggplant licked by flames, to English Longhorn fillet steak seared to perfection at The Grill, or those famous triple-cooked-chips pulled straight from the fryers at Kerridge’s, live fire cooking is the hot trend made for open kitchens of the Dining Hall. The temperatures outside may be plummeting but our chefs are dialling up the power of smoke and flame, while diners eagerly await the results to a glass of Harrods Brut Premier Cru.
Sushi and a show
One for our Santa baby cynics — hit pause on the seasonal stress and opt for a night of live jazz and world-class sushi instead. Sunday Roast at The Grill
A Harrods’ own Sunday roast, you say? From our in-house butcher to your table, opt for the Longhorn sirloin steak brushed with smoked Ivy House Farm butter and served with roasted bone marrow. Sling the cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes rulebook - how about truffled mac and cheese and the rosemary dauphinoise potatoes with garlic cream? Arguably the most important part - a cinematic pouring of supremely delicious beef sauce.
Cacio e pepe
The dish that has everybody talking. Whether you fancy something extra special for dinner or it’s the cosy feeling you crave, cacio e pepe is befitting to mark the occasion. Indulge in handmade rigatoni pasta and a molten sauce made with cave-aged pecorino cheese and black pepper.
